The Optilasa OP1H Applanation Tonometer (R900 Style) is ideal for eye care professionals seeking a permanently mounted tonometer for slit lamps. It installs on a pivot attached to the microscope and swings into position in front of the microscope for the examination. A notched position ensures exact prism alignment with the left objective. When not in use, the instrument is secured in a notched position to the right of the microscope. The observation of the corneal applanation area is done through the left eyepiece only.

The illumination system moves from the left until it contacts the tonometer mount. Once in position, the contact area is illuminated through the prism and is free from reflections. Additionally, the open space around the tonometer facilitates better access to the patient’s eye. The R900 tonometer mount also supports photographic accessories. When using either, the tonometer must first be lifted from the pivot.
