The ScanDrop2 from Analytik Jena is the second generation of microvolume spectrophotometers, combining flexibility and reliability with innovative technology and modern design all in a single device. As a flexible, easy-to-use platform for measuring small sample volumes starting from 0,3 µL, the ScanDrop2 and its amenable walkaway measuring principle allow users variable scalability in samples either individually or in a series up to 32 sample positions.
Description
A flexible, easy-to-use spectrophotometer platform for measuring small volumes from 0.3 µl and above, the ScanDrop2 and its walkaway principle allow operators to process samples either individually or in a series of samples (up to 32 different positions). The ability to record the entire spectrum from 190 nm to 1000 nm in only 1.6 seconds, makes the system the ideal choice for UV/Vis applications in Life Sciences, particularly for protein and nucleic acid determinations. Further applications from a variety of fields can be easily incorporated. The ScanDrop2 raises the bar when it comes to design and user friendliness: all you have to do is switch it on and start your measurements. Thanks to its long-life xenon flash lamp, the system is ready immediately with no warm-up phase required. A number of measurement adapters are available to supplement the built-in test position for 10 mm cuvettes (please order separately):
CHIPCUVETTE adapter ScanDrop² (844-00221-0) accommodates the patented CHIPCUVETTE (with 16 channels for 1.0 and 0.1 mm, in total up to 32 positions),
Standard Cuvette Adapter for ScanDrop² (8-fold) (844-00222-0) with 8-position cuvette changer for standard cuvettes (up to 10 mm),
and the Butterfly Cuvette ScanDrop² (844-00220-0) for probing 9 samples without consumables (0.5 mm pathway).
The system automatically moves the adapters into their defined positions with exceptional precision.
