The Hematek 2000 Slide Stainer is a fully automated, bench-top instrument designed specifically for use in hematology. It is a self-contained system that conveys, fixes and stains dry blood smears prepared on standard glass slides. As a part of a CBC, whole blood spread on a slide is stained for microscopic identification of the white blood cells, study of red blood cell morphology and estimation of number of platelets. The instrument requires a carefully prepared blood smear. Smears prepared from nasal, sputum, sinus, bronchial secretions, feces and urine can also be stained with this method.
The HEMA-TEK 2000 Slide Stainer provides a continuous-feed loading platform that eliminates wasted time associated with batch staining methods. Correct first-time staining means less duplicated work
-Pumps deliver fresh reagents in precise volume for every stain while the platen provides uniform -stain from field-to-field and slide-to-slide with stain and buffer mixing accurately and uniformly
-Slides are immediately available for viewing upon completion of staining, and the rinse reagent -contains the optimal alcohol concentration for proper slide drying
-Dials, located on front panel, allow for wide variation in stain intensities to suit individual needs
-Simple to maintain
-Stains 60 slides per hour
