As a peristaltic pump, it works by compressing a flexible tube (or tubing element) with rollers or shoes, pushing fluid forward while the fluid never contacts moving mechanical parts (only the tubing). This gives isolation and reduces contamination risk
Because fluid only contacts tubing, the risk of contamination or cross‑contamination is low, and maintenance is relatively straightforward (replace tubing / elements).
Very good turndown ratio (i.e. ability to dial down flow finely) thanks to the wide speed control range.
