The HeraCell 150 incubator is in almost new condition both technically and visually and has an innovative water reservoir instead of a usual water tray. This ensures a high relative humidity and particularly quick moisture recovery after opening. Compared to conventional CO2 incubators with a water tank, the HERAcell achieves humidity recovery up to five times faster. Short moisture recovery times are particularly important when the incubator door is opened frequently or when working with small volumes of media. In devices with a water tray, the air layer between the bottom and the tray extends the moisture recovery time, resulting in high evaporation rates in the crops. The HERAcell, on the other hand, ensures very short moisture recovery times thanks to its superior technology - up to five times faster. This technology includes a large water surface by using the entire interior floor, direct heat transfer from the heated floor into the water and patented floor heating after door opening and during oxygen fumigation. An early water level warning system uses acoustic and visual signals to ensure that water can be refilled in a timely manner. The ContraCon routine, an automatic decontamination method developed and patented for Heraeus incubators, can completely eliminate a variety of microorganisms, including mycoplasma, at 90 °C and high humidity in independent tests.
