Description
The Perseptive BioSystems Pioneer Peptide Synthesis System is designed to improve efficiency and speed by removing excess reagents with continual solvent flow through a packed column containing a solid support. The glass column with filters at the top and bottom replaces the reaction vessel, and the system incorporates a positive displacement pump to enable continuous fluid flow at various rates. Valves allow for selection of solvent and reactant flow through the resin bed to waste, as well as for the introduction and recirculation of the acylating species during the coupling reaction. This system includes a computer for seamless operation. It is in excellent condition and has very little use, making it ideal for peptide synthesis in research, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology laboratories.
