The Stratagene UV Stratalinker 2400 Ultraviolet Crosslinker provides a benchtop method of crosslinking DNA or RNA to nylon, nitrocellulose, or nylon-reinforced nitrocellulose membranes. Crosslinking helps to increase hybridization signals significantly higher than when the oven baking is used. The internal photodetector helps to compensate for aging ultraviolet bulbs to keep the power output consistent.
The crosslinking process can be completed in 25–50 seconds, cutting the traditional processing time for baking filters at 80°C down from 2 hours for a big boost to your day’s productivity. The Stratalinker UV crosslinker may be used for Northern, Southern, dot or slot blot analysis, colony or plaque screening, nicking of DNA in agarose gels before blotting, and a variety of other applications. Operation is simple and can be used in Autocrosslink, Time, or Energy Modes. Energy mode can adjust the microjoule level, the timed mode can be set from 0.1-999.9 minutes, and Autocrosslink Mode provides a quick preset.
