The Drew Scientific DS5 HbA1c Measurement Systems small size and ease of use makes it ideal for main laboratory clinic or satellite laboratory settings. It is an ideal step up from manual or point-of-care systems.
Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) is a very useful test in monitoring diabetic patients. It is a measure of the mean amount of blood glucose present in the patient over the previous 3 months and is therefore useful as a monitoring tool. In order to measure HvA1c it has to be separated from the non-glycated hemoglobin.
