Used - Good MEDTRONIC Lifepak 500

This AED appears to be in good condition all the way around. The AED was made in 2004, is without damage other than minor superficial cosmetic scratches as seen in the pics. It is a model 30119170-001173. The 2015 type 12V 7.5 Amp Lithium battery holds a charge and has no damage of any kind. The case comes with a couple of laminated instruction cards, a checklist sheet and is without damage. A manual in PDF format is available at no cost online. No electrodes are included. It is suggested these be purchased through an authorized supplier to avoid liability issues and maximize the length of time between purchase and the electrode packs expiry date.
The buyer is advised to have this device inspected by a trained technician and certified for use prior to deploying it.

The features and configurability of the LIFEPAK 500 make it user-friendly. Its technology makes it a proven life-saver. Like all AEDs, this one talks you through the rescue.. It also has an LCD display so you can read the instructional prompts if background noise prevents you from hearing them.
The device uses Physio-Controls escalating biphasic electrical waveform. This means the AED will escalate its energy output if the patients situation demands it. (All LIFEPAK AEDs have this feature.) The AED tests itself regularly and the readiness indicator displays the machines status. You dont have to turn the AED on or do anything else to know if its ready-to-use.
The LIFEPAK 500 gives you choices in configurations to help make a future rescue easy:
Depending on the method of CPR youve been taught, you can program the device to prompt for pulse checks.
You can change the timing of CPR interval in case the rules of CPR ever change in the future (again!)
You can program an instruction to perform CPR while the AED is charging!
Medical professionals can activate an asystole detector, too.
Electronically assign a unique device ID to the LIFEPAK 500 so you wont have to put labels, stickers, or magic marker identifiers on your AED.
You can do all of this without the need to buy reconfiguration software packages or computer peripherals. The only optional software you may want to consider is to download post-event patient data from the device if needed.
