The Thermolyne Locator 8 is a compact cryogenic storage system that features durable construction and advanced vacuum insulation to minimize liquid nitrogen evaporation for economical operation. Temperature uniformity assures that samples are stored at -180°C even when the vessel contains less than 5 cm liquid nitrogen. Additionally, unlike mechanical systems the Locator 8 LN2 storage tank is designed to offer consistent temperatures even when electricity is lost. Samples remain protected much longer during power outages than alternative technologies so the need to locate backup storage and relocate samples is dramatically reduced or even eliminated.
