Description
The CDI 540 is a benchtop calibrator that accepts the CDI shunt sensors connected to the blood parameter module cable heads and exposes them to two known calibration gases (Gas A and Gas B) to establish a two‑point calibration curve.
It is used in conjunction with dedicated CDI calibration gas bottles that contain precisely defined pCO₂/pO₂ mixtures in a nitrogen balance, allowing the system to assign accurate reference values for pH, pCO₂, and pO₂.
Key Features
Two‑point gas calibration: Uses CDI Gas A and Gas B to perform a rapid, automated two‑point calibration of the fluorescence-based microsensors, similar in principle to blood‑gas analyzer calibration.
Integrated part of CDI 550 system: Designed specifically for use with CDI Systems (e.g., CDI 550) along with the monitor, shunt sensors, and H/S probe to provide continuous monitoring of up to 12 blood parameters during bypass.
Compact form factor: Small footprint, tabletop device (approx. 32 cm × 21 cm × 26 cm, about 3.8 kg) that can be mounted near the perfusion console for convenient workflow in the OR.
